VIEW REPORT (1881K)
Several ground-water monitoring wells on the Mountain Home Air Force Base in southwestern Idaho were constructed in February 2000 to replace existing monitoring wells that became ineffective as a result of declining water levels. A prototype borehole acoustic doppler velocimeter (B-ADV) was used to make experimental three-dimensional measurements of lateral and vertical flow in two of the replacement wells in March 2000 to better understand flow characteristics in the underlying basalt ground-water system. This report describes methodology, data collection procedures, and B-ADV results from these wells.
