VIEW REPORT (1158K)
In December 2000, the U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, began a study to compile and assess nitrate (as nitrogen) data for 25 areas in Idaho where nitrate has significatly degraded ground-water quality. The primary objective of this study was to determine whether statistically significant long- and short-term trends in nitrate concentrations were discernible. This report presents findings of the statistical analyses, in terms of increasing, decreasing, or no trends.

This report is only available on line. Any questions about the report can be directed to Deb Parliman at (208)387-1326 or email parliman@usgs.gov.
