Welcoming the National Association of Geoscience Teachers

The Pacific Northwest Section of the National Association of Geoscience Teachers will hold its annual conference June 22-24 at Craters of the Moon National Monument and the Idaho National Laboratory.

On June 22, we will lead two field trip stops for the teachers. The first stop will demonstrate groundwater sampling at the INL. The second stop will be a tour of our Core Storage Library.

The next day, two of our scientists will present their research to the conference attendees. Project office chief Roy Bartholomay will discuss the hydrologic conditions of the eastern Snake River Plain aquifer. Geologist Mary Hodges will show how our scientists are using tools to determine the complex stratigraphy of the aquifer.
