VIEW REPORT (1935K)

About 400 stream channel cross sections were surveyed during 2002-03 along the Kootenai River to provide information that can be used to develop hydraulic flow models of the river. This information will help a recovery team assess the feasibility of various habitat enhancement scenarios to reestablish populations of Kootenai River white sturgeon, which was listed as an Endangered Species in 1994. This report describes methods for surveying cross sections; presents latitude, longitude, and elevation data for survey control stations; and provides an online link to the complete set of cross-section data collected during the study.
